Sering kali kita ingin tahu tentang beberapa informasi seperti informasi pengunjung, ip pengunjung , jenis browser yang dipakai, dan lain lain. Di ASP.Net menyediakan fasilitas untuk mengetahui beberapa informasi tersebut menggunakan server variable. Sebagai contoh kita ingin mengetahui browser agent yang digunakan untuk mengakses situs kita. Sintaks-nya sebagai berikut:

Request.ServerVariables("REMOTE_ADDR") - Mengetahui host name dari client
Request.ServerVariables("REMOTE_HOST") - Mengetahui Nama Server Domain
Request.ServerVariables("SERVER_NAME") - Mengetahui Software pada Server

| REMOTE_HOST | Returns the name of the host making the request |

| SCRIPT_NAME | Returns a virtual path to the script being executed |
